Migration Issue
by Bihar Badshah on Feb 08, 2008 09:23 AMMigration puts lot of pressure on the Local economy this is 100% correct and hence the resentement and Raj Thackray type of incident's..So what is the solution develop more urban centers so that people move to their own center's not to different states..but my only question is will a Mumbaikar be Ok if tomorrow the north indian population is replaced by people from the villages of maharastra...because the jobs created by the Mumbai economy which these north indians were doing has to be done by some one...and will our dear Mumbaikar's be Ok if North Indian's are swaped by their own Marathi people...If yes then the argument about the problem of pressure on the limited mumbai resource does not hold good...and secondly that's racism and regionalism..which again may not be good for a country..it is vexed issue and the planners should seriously work to fix this disparity before our beloved country becomes a falied state as our neighbour....remember the reason why Bangladesh split from Pakistan even being a muslim country was given a second class citizen treatment by the Pakis...India stand a chance of going through the same..What I am saying is it is not a small problem and it is high time the lopsided planning of 4-5 metros centric should be stopped and develop one metro in most of the big population states (UP, Bihar, MP and Orissa) to stop migration...if state govt is not doing it , declare that city (in those states) as center property and do the necessary changes..high time

Mr.Bihar Badshah, i am a maharashtrian and like many others beleive that what mns did was completely wrong and was just for political mileage,if raj thackeray is not punished for this, we will have many such useless incidents in the future.I urge the centre to take strict action on him but as we all know, nothing is gng to happen.Mumbai is mumbai coz it is a free state and this gives equal chances to people from all states to measure there capabilities,if a maharashtrian is more deserving than onybody else,he will surely get the job,if not then he has to make himself competitive and not waste time and resources like this by fighting for useless things

The consitutional rights and freedom are, in my opinion, fit into only a broader context. The fundamental issue is about the lack of development in BIMARU states. Had the politicians taken care of their respective states, we would not be spending so much time on this subject. This applies to within the states also, where people migrate from rural to urban areas. Hence, the politicians and policy-makers need to have a balanced view of the problems confornting us

I agree with you and to add some thing in every part of the world this is happening. Suppose oneday other coutry through out the NRI what will happen. These NRI are from all part of the INDIA.So people should stop talking these Nonsense. India is a country where you can stay in wherever you want.
Dear Bihari Bhaiyon, pls take pre-caution if you are staying in
Karnataka as I envision some storm coming..Thanks to our leaders who
systemetically ruined the state and due to them we are treated as
second class citizens within our own country and now their highly
objectionable statement is opening new new challenges for the bihari
janta spread across the country.Our so-called leaders forget that the
bihari migrants don't have the black cats or the comfort of the
ministery to protect them...Bihar and Bihari will be now beaten in
Karnataka...Pls spread the message to the engineering and other
students in the state to take proper safegaurd and respect the local
people...That is how they will be accepted...They have no leader to
fall back upon rather they themselves...

No rly quota for Kannadigas: Lalu

"Only competition, no reservation," Union Railway Minister Lalu
Prasad Yadav quipped in response to a newsperson's query on the
demand being made in some quarters for reservation for Kannadigas in
Railway jobs in the State.
Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has ruled out introducing
any reservation for Kannadigas in Class `D' posts in the Indian
Railways. "Only competition, no reservation," Lalu quipped in
response to a newsperson's query on the demand being made in some
quarters for reservation for Kannadigas in Railway jobs in the State.
The Railway minister was in Bangalore to inaugurate a model railway
station at Yeshwantpur on Monday. Lalu said no preference will be
given for anyone in recruitments.
When asked for his comments on Raj Thackeray's utterances
on "outsiders" in Mumbai, Lalu made a gesture to indicate that the
Maharashtra Navanirman Sena chief was mentally unbalanced.
Earlier, a 20-strong Kannada Rakshana Vedike group staged a protest
in front of a train that was to be flagged off by Lalu Yadav and a
few even climbed atop it. They were protesting against the large
presence of non-natives in Railway jobs in the State. Police took
them into preventive custody.
A minor altercation took place between the police and
photojournalists when the latter sought to move closer to the
minister to get a better view of him when he entered the Yeshwantpur
railway station. The policemen screamed at the lensmen, who were keen
on getting the best shot.

demonstration against Lalu Yadav when he arrived at the railway
station here on Monday.
In the melee, Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar could not hand over
the bouquets brought for the minister.
The protest left Lalu fuming. When reporters met him, the trademark
smile was missing. Asked why Kannadigas were not getting priority in
Railway recruitments, Lalu merely said: "Dirty people."

It is very very bad on the part of Lalu to comment. What does he
think of himself. He cannot pass such unparliamentary words in front
of the media or the public.

what are all the politicians in Karnataka doing? where is the
kannadiga pride in all these politicians? if common man like u and me
aske lalu to apologise , he will not.. so all representatives should
ask. Now will the national channels like NDTV,CNN IBN take out a item
in the national network on how irresponsible a central minister is? i
guess they are biased too.. if this was said in bihar UP or west
bengal , this would have become national debate.. proves where south
stands!!!

How Dare he says like that. We should feel ashamed of ourselves. Some
one from other state visiting our state and calls us Dirty People. We
do not raise our voice even now, then we would never do it. Please
all my friends out there raise this issue in one of the popular TV
channels and make a big issue untill he apologise. Anyone in media
please take up this matter and also people who are in Law, please
file a case against it. I request to all to do this.

When it will be a kannadiga minister to be railway minister he will
prove how competitive the lalulanders can be. Firstly all these
vedike business should work on why a rustic who cannot understand
anything other than buffalos be the railway minister? shouldn't they
aim to break this cowbelt philosophy? congress wants musclemen and
lalu fits the bill, he can keep or break the centre so for fear of
nuisance value they have him there.

My dear kannadiga, now understands the Raj Thakare's Andolan against
the NON-Marathi peoples. All these north indians systmatically
encroching the south land. We have to fight unitedly aginst this
north indians for jobs and culture. Now what are you going to say
about Karnataka rashan videke.

I am not surprised that lallu called kannadigas.dirty people. what
else a dirt politician can call others..whose mind is dirted with
chara,,,, and who cannot think beyond rabri.... whos brain is
polluted with dirty secularism... and a man who can go to any
extreams to support his theory..... yes its the dirt in his mind
makes him to think all these.. If he dont apologise for his calling
kannadigas dirty people..he will not be allowed to enter karnataka
next time.

We r ashmed to say that we have a railway minister of this vocabalary
and respect to his nation people. He should appologise for his mis
conduct against the Kannadigas and the state. WE ARE TREATING THESE
GUYS AS OUR LEADERS.

Yes, we all know who the 'Dirty' People are. Its Laalu and his dirty,
corrupt, violence ridden family up north in Bihar. I have a number of
Bihari friends who hate Laalu for the turmoil he caused in Bihar.
The guy can't even speak proper Hindi. Being an educated Kannadiga I
am deeply hurt by his senseless comments. He needs to apologize to
all Kannadigas publicly for his senseless 'DIRTY' comments.
You know what now I feel we need leaders like Raj and Bal Thakeray in
Karnataka.

If the question was regarding the Bihar then Mr. Laalu would have
changed the statement a bit as "Only reservation , no competition".
Mr. Laalu should not have criticized kannadigaas with such a words as
the kannadigaas have all the rights to raise their concerns. Mr.
Laalu should not forget that he is a national leader and usage of
such words won't be good on his part.

It's not people of Karnataka dirty, it's dirty People like Lalu, who

Filling up railway postions on competition basis is acceptable. But
in this selection process let kannadigas (south Indians) be posted in
karnataka.
Regarding Lalu calling people of Karnataka as "dirty people". is a
insult to karnataka as wellas india. A minister is not suppose to say
this.

Let Lalu clean up his Bihar first. Every one knows who and which
areas of India are cultured, clean and decent. Those areas are
definitely not the north.
The Central Govt. pumps a lot of money into UP and Binar. So the bad
behavedness of the north is not because of poverty. I don't buy the
argument that the north has any poverty.
It is plain arrogance coupled with ignorance.
If south is dirty, don't come here.

Being a Hon. Railwaym Minister of Central Government he should not
have used such words. He should apologise in public to the people of
Karnataka.
Lalu should know that Karnataka is a State which is providing
shelter, food and water for all those who have come from different
parts of the country for a job here. If not they would not have got a
job or start business here.

This is our railway minister who doesnt care for the people. Railways
exist because of people, they atleast be dealt with respect.
It will be fruitful if we discuss the positive aspects generating from our state i.e. in Bihar as emergence of Nalanda realty prices,tourism ,literacy rather than putting allegations on one state and the other ...These issues are all politically motivated..selfiness attached with no benefits to common janta...pls. folks remember that if India needs to become or catch up with China ...all the Indian States should become par with each other...upliftment of all the people & state irrespective of caste,religion & gender..this all things has been voiced by our ex-president ABJ Abdul Kalam...Lets work for a developed India ..one cannot make the bricks without straws...give respect and take respect...this is the mantra we Indian should follow...(Courteous like Europeans)
